Hi Bill,
What about cameras at single family rentals? Do you have any advice or experience with that? With a single family you might want to have a camera on the garage with a view of the driveway and or entrance. But then what about internet for it, (this would apply to multifamily as well) do you use wifi or cell service for connectivity?
Also, have you had issues with damage to the cameras?
Mark,
Good questions and thanks for listening.
A lot of people do Ring for single family homes and it seems to do the job. If you want to monitor the garage and other areas, then you have to go closed circuit. A few closed circuit cameras would not be expensive but you would still have to get a WIFI modem at $40-50 per month. Yes, we had one theif seal a camera but that was it. We replaced it the next day and I’ve had no problems ever since. Best, Bill
